At PAVassociates, our mission is to create homes that inspire—spaces where vision, form, function, and art come together with quiet clarity.
We believe that architecture has the power to shape the way we live, feel, and connect. Through thoughtful design and meaningful collaboration, we craft environments that reflect individual stories while honoring the surrounding landscape.
Our goal is simple: to design with purpose, build with integrity, and leave behind spaces that feel timeless, grounded, and deeply personal.
Patricia Arpini Velho, Assoc. AIA | Principal Designer
Patricia Arpini Velho, principal designer of PAVassociates, is originally from Brazil. She earned her Architecture and Urban Design Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Valley do Rio dos Sinos in São Leopoldo, Rio Grande do Sul in 1999, and has been practicing architecture since. She moved to California in 2004 and has been devoted to melding her Brazilian style with California’s environmental focus.
Her vision of Architecture is a wholly integrated system, where architecture, interior design, and landscape architecture work simultaneously and respectfully with each other. This vision serves as the foundation for creating a unique design for each project. She works closely with her clients, engaging them during each step of the process. The results are warm, modern, sustainable, and well-crafted spaces that are rooted in a sense of place.
Belén Fuentes is an Architectural Designer from Ecuador with a Master’s degree in Architecture and Urbanism from the University of São Paulo (FAU-USP). She began her career in urban design, contributing to public infrastructure and ecological projects for the City of Quito.
Her practice has since evolved to include residential architecture, where she brings a thoughtful blend of large-scale urban insight and detailed architectural design. Belén’s work reflects a commitment to context, community, and craft.
Outside of the studio, she enjoys dancing and exploring nature trails with her dog.
